Isaac Moghalu Memorial Scholars Programme

The Isaac Moghalu Memorial Scholars Programme is a flagship programme of the Isaac Moghalu Foundation. It is funded from the Isaac Moghalu Memorial Scholarship Fund. Established in memory of Isaac Moghalu, the programme facilitates access to secondary and higher education for underprivileged children and youth in rural communities through full scholarships that pay tuition, board and other fees.

Isaac Moghalu Foundation Leadership Lectures

The Foundation will begin a leadership lecture and seminar series in 2008. The series will focus on the following areas:

  • Ethical values in leadership (with emphasis on transparency, accountability and the fight against corruption)
  • Democratic governance and development
  • HIV/AIDS education and advocacy
  • Women's empowerment and development
  • Culture and social change

The leadership lectures and seminars, which will be interactive, will be targeted at youth as the primary audience. They will be given by experts and noted personalities in public life, civil society, and the private sector who are role models. To the extent possible the lectures, seminars and advocacy will be conducted in indigenous languages.

Educational Institution Support Programme
The aim of this programme is to provide in-kind support to educational institutions, enhancing their capacity to provide quality education for students. Through this programme, the Isaac Moghalu Foundation will contribute books, computers and other educational aids to secondary schools in rural communities and to universities.
Skills Training Programme

This programme will commence when the Foundation establishes the partnerships that will support it. The program will provide vocational training for vulnerable youth them find jobs or become self-employed in the service and production sectors of the economy.

The Isaac Moghalu Memorial Library
Rural communities in Nigeria do not have libraries, thus denying students the opportunity to engage in research. Subject to the availability of funds, the Isaac Moghalu Foundation plans to construct an Isaac Moghalu Memorial Library that will provide professional library resources (including information technology) and services to a number of communities in Anambra State of Nigeria.
